Police in Connecticut say an apparent hoarder died after the cluttered first floor of her home collapsed into the basement. Authorites say 66 year old Beverly Mitchell was found in her Cheshire home Saturday, two days after a postal carrier called police because mail was piling up.
At first police could not find anybody because the floor was piled waist-high with clutter and they did not realize that the floor had collapsed. Official found Mitchell’s body after a backhoe broke through a wall in the house to remove debris.
